The ZOO ZDL7855/60 Series DIN bathroom lock is a high-quality mortice lock designed to provide secure, reliable privacy locking for bathroom and WC doors. Engineered and tested to rigorous standards, it combines robust materials with smooth operation, making it suitable for both commercial and residential internal doors.

Design & Construction

• Centres: 78 mm (distance between spindle and lock centre).

• Backset Options: Available with 55 mm or 60 mm backsets to suit common door preparations.

• Case Dimensions: Approx. 85 × 165 mm for the 55 mm backset and 90 × 165 mm for the 60 mm backset, providing a standard DIN lock body footprint.

• Faceplate: Full-length 235 × 22 × 3 mm SS304 stainless steel forend for high corrosion resistance and durability.

• Latch & Deadbolt: Precision-formed SS304 stainless steel latch bolt and deadbolt for consistent performance and longevity.

• Follower: Grip-tight follower ensures secure engagement with the operating spindle, reducing wear and enhancing handle response.

• Profiles: Offered with both square and radius profile forends to suit different aesthetic preferences and door styles.

Functionality & Operation

This DIN bathroom lock is designed for privacy applications where a thumbturn or bathroom lockset is used. The latch and deadbolt arrangement allows the door to be securely locked from the inside while offering easy release in an emergency. The 78 mm centre spacing aligns with common DIN bathroom handle configurations.

Performance & Certification

• BS EN 12209:2003 Grade 3: Successfully tested for mechanical performance and durability.

• Fire Testing: Successfully fire-tested in accordance with BS EN 1634-1, suitable for use on timber fire doors (30 , 60 , 90 , 120 min) and steel fire doors (30 , 60 , 90 , 120 , 240 min) when installed with appropriate intumescent protection.

• Certifications: UKCA marked (Certificate AG7883), CE marked (Certificate AG5154) and CERTIFIRE approved (CF850).

• Durability: Tested to 200,000 cycles for latch operation and 50,000 cycles for deadbolt operation; routine inspection and maintenance recommended at these limits.
